What are your favorite wuxia's?

Personally, i like all of jinyongs and also xian jian qi xia zhuan (chinese paladin). Xian jian is just too funny, but it loses all its humor in the middle when people start dying and the plot becomes more serious.

not really wu xia, a little bit but a modern era too.

the one where peter ho stars as hua ying xiong. in legend of hero. there's not that many fight scenes, but the story lines compelling enough and so are the fx for a low budget series or at least I think it is.

the one wuxia I saw that sucked major balls was "the patriotic knights" series. it was horrible with terrible fight scenes with little substance.

Well i think you should try tian long ba bu, or the legend of the condor hero trilogy.

I really liked the Return of Condor Heroes (the one with Carmen Lee as Little Dragon girl). I also liked Wind and Cloud? That's considered a Wuxia right?

I loved Louis Cha's Return of the Condor Heroes as the comics.

Ive watched about 3 versions of it, one was so low budget the battles looked fake and the condor is like a man dressed up in bird costume,

and the other that i remember had a good budget (probably CGI) but i liked the scale of the battles etc and the songs only thing that really marred the series was the sappy puppy dog look YangGuo takes on when refering to his wife. and the lalalala scene where they swing on vines erm... @.@

I'm gonna have to go with Legend of the Condor Heroes as well. The 2000 version produced by china was pretty good. Haven't had a chance to try out the newest version yet.

Definitely Legend of the Condor Heroes! That story has some of the most interesting and well developed characters.

I miss the old classic wuxia shows. The new ones are really bad. Has anyone seen 東成西就? It's a kungfu comedy.
