personally, Jay Chou's music is unique in my opinion.
da zui ba(大嘴巴)is a new Taiwanese group that I like.
Mc. hot dog (I am not sure if it's "MC"), he's rap is good.
JJ lin - unique voice, cute face.
su da lv (sodagreen or 苏打绿in chinese),lead singer's voice is amazing, though the members are all somewhat weird.....

i just recently heard of jolie chan when i got hacken's no. 1 hits cd; her duet with him is on there
so far, that's the only thing i've heard from her, but i really like her voice in that song.
otherwise, hacken is one of my favourites. and linda chung's cd was pretty good too. a lot better than i expected for an actress turned singer

Jay Chou is a good Chinese artist, his style of music (kinda like pop and rap mixed but not quite hip hop) is very unique. I only have one problem with him... I can't understand half the things he's singing lol. Seriously I've asked a lot of my mandarin friends to try to listen to him and they really couldn't follow him either...

Jolin Tsai is also a good listen too, she has songs going from ballads to dance/club beat types so you can listen to her for whatever your mood is.

    For canto-folks try listening to:
Fiona Sit- She's got a nice voice and recently released a new album. You might have seen her acting in some movies too, as most hong kong music stars do.

Eason Chang- He's also got a good variety of tunes from rock, ballads, and honestly I can't describe it all lol. He's definitely got a lot of good songs though, a lot of them probably became popular because of his many movies that he starred in but idk really

Wow! I can't believe nobody even mentioned Hacken Lee. He been in the scene FOREVER! He usually does pop and ballads among other things. I love his singing ability along with Eason Chan(Thank god somebody mentioned him).

I haven't listened to much Chinese music in forever but my favourites still include those two i mentioned, Jay Chou, Guang Liang (the hit wonder song that just about EVERY Chinese person just seems to know, probably through the MV, Tong Hua), 陳小春, Aaron Kwok and 古巨基.

Hahaha, haven't picked up any new artist in a while, should start again. Feels kinda sad when you sing the same damn songs in Karaoke every time. LMF is always fun to sing too (they're probably the first and only Hip-Hop/Rap Group that have parted ways).

Oh crap, forgot to include I Love You Boy'z!!!! *squee hahahahaha (hilarity ensues)
