Murder in the basement of a shopping mall in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province, topped the nation's No.1
search engine Naver's most searched keyword list, as the suspect confessed he committed it for a mere 120,000 won ($129).
The 26-year-old Kim was caught by police last Thursday over suspicion of murdering Hyun, 28, a researcher at a large corporation, on June 16.
The police first assumed that the criminal would be an acquaintance or sex offender, but the suspect was a jobless man who needed money to play an online computer game.
Kim said Hyun resisted his taking her cash and that he strangled her and put the body in her car's trunk.
``War of Money," one of the most watched TV dramas, ranked second as it's writers were accused of plagiarizing another novel. Hur Yoon-ho filed a provisional disposition against the TV drama based on Park In-kwon's cartoon for plagiarizing the title and the main plot of his novel ``The Money War.''
However, cartoonist Park rebutted the allegation saying that his work commenced three months prior to the novel's publication. The plagiarism issue raised attention to the drama and it stood at 35.3 percent in viewer rating, last Thursday.

Yoon Song-yee, an acclaimed prodigy and executive of SK telecom, ranked sixth as she was rumored to marry Kim Taek-jin, founder and chief executive of top game developer NCsoft. The pair quickly denied the report.
Ulsan Hyundai kicker Lee Chun-soo ranked fourth as British newspaper Daily Mail reported that Chelsea, one of the top premium leaguers, is interested in bringing Lee to the team.
