If you like something and really want to make the best out of it, devote your heart and soul into it, let your passion burn. $o[[eR = my life
The name in front of your jersey is more important than the one at the back.

geeze i better stop playing with my go up and down chair.. whatever you call it. Well this serves as a good lessondont buy chairs from china they might just explode on you.

Poor boyI think that it is possible if it happened in China. If the chair is one these cheap low quality products they sell there.

thats crazy, damn those poorly made chairs. so sad that he would die in such a manner, sitting on a grenade. but to think that the cylinder had that much power to break though the wood or metal plate of the seat.

I feel really sorry for him and his family. That would be a horrible way to die and I'm sorry that he had to experience that. When I first read the title I thought that someone played a joke on the poor kid and it turned out really bad, but I guess that's not the case.
My prays go out to him and his family.

Thats a really scary news...
Personally even I am from HK, I try to avoid using much things from China, I don't really trust the quality of it.
Example such as the noodles that are made in China is really scary as well, I once watch the news or read an article, saying that the bacteria or virus level in the noodles made by China are 300, where as in Hong Kong and Overseas this level should be remain 0.

How heavy was the boy ... granted that no matter the weight the chair should be safe to sit on ... but still give Chinese and Indian products a break. Look at Japanese cars in the mid 1900s, Japanese cars were referred to Japanese WWII era tanks ... paper thin armour and everything ... meaning to say that the quality was bad but look at Japanese cars now ... highly sought after wouldn't you say? Just give their products some time to set up proper quality controls, if not in the near future then in a decade or two.

Oh my goodness. Does anyone know what the manufacturer said about this?
Getting through the world... One day at a ti me...

not too difficult really... apart from clothing... cant really escape that.. food stuffs are the next major product.. when faced with a choice of canned XX from china and country ABC.. unless ABC has an even worse track record then china(which is pretty difficult) i'll pick ABC.
its not too bad dat china has some issues, but my major concern is that they try to cover this things up and keep quiet until it becomes a major international scandal. then they execute some official who just happens to not have sufficient connections.
the milk powder scandal actually was known before the olympics but only became the headlines after the olympics... all for saving face and rep

They had news of the milk scandal before the olympics and people knew about it. I think what happened is the trial didn't finish until after the olympics.
I'm going to be extra cautious when I sit on an office chair from now on... lol. Even though it's not something that is likely to happen often, just reading about it is enough to make you suspicious of office chairs.

well as long as you don't have it really low / compress the gas cylinder there shouldn't be an issue.

I saw this news in a blog yesterday... I still can't believe that this was caused by a simple chair!
I got chairs like that in my office!
I will certainly stop playing with the chair's height now...
Now that I see the pictures, if the chair looks like that... imagine the boy's... Ouch!
