Sexy Samurai underwear is the new rage in Japan. Tight underwear for men featuring patterns from actual Samurai warrior armor is proving to be a hit with women looking for presents for boyfriends and other men.

Interest in the civil wars of the 15th and 16th centuries is always high in Japan and this latest underwear crazes is capitalizing on this trend.


Samurai shorts selling for $125 are hot in Japan

Rogin, a Tokyo apparel company has 10 kinds of Samurai underwear including those that resemble the designs worn by leaders Oda Nobunaga and Takeda Shingen.

The company is having a hard time keep Samurai underwear on store shelves, even though the price is near $90- $125 each.



A 25-year-old female shopper said she was thinking about buying a pair for her father.

‘‘They seem a bit showy but they’re cool,’’ she said.

The Samurai tights are hot at a time when many women are fascinated with samurai-related TV programs The game ‘‘Sengoku Basara’’ features fictitious good-looking samurai warriors which can't hurt

I wouldn't buy them for my boyfriend either. To my mind they are to tight even though the paintings on are beautiful ^____^

agree'd. they look totally awsome but looks too tight for comfort. Maybe if they put those design on normal shorts or something. Plus this is underwear, think of all the samurai "sword" jokes possible.......

I agree with the point of putting them on regular shorts. Why bother with flashy stuff on men's underwear, of all things? No matter how I look at it, that seems like the least design-significant piece of clothing there is. Drop those designs on regular shorts, however, and you've got a market all over the place. I would get those as shorts, not as underwear though.

Nice designs ... almost thought they really were armoured underpants.
But anyway those briefs? do not look like they were meant to be worn in summer. Are they underpants desgined for winter? Something like a shortened set of long johns?
