Let me be the first to say that Ikuta Toma stole the show for me really. I basically skipped as much parts with "Sano" in it to get to more Toma parts. His character interested me far more than the broody high jumper type.

And for people who may say that Maki wasn't very believable as a guy, i think that is the point of the drama though. That the character "mizuki" is supposed to try and be a guy, if the guy character was too convincing as a guy then ur not fulfilling the real character then, right? It would then be Maki acting as a guy, not Maki acting as "Mizuki" acting as a guy.

i personally like the manga version better but the drama is good too! a little short though... sadly....

but the changes that they have made in the drama is not so bad too! the guy who played shuichi was very funny! i like him very much

I was really disappointed in the special episode actually. I was expecting something completely else.
But this drama have always been one of my absolute fav ones.
I love the mix of humour, romance, serious matter and just plain random goofiness.
I think I've never laughed so hysterically to any otehr show except for the anime called Lovely Complex.

Though it felt a bit slow somewhere in the middle of this drama. Specially when she kept on jabbering about the confusion between Sano and her in some earlier episodes.
But the humour in it totally made up for all that.

Love Mizushima Hiro! I've always wondered if he is related to Saitou Takumi. They looks alot like each other (according to me)... O__O;

This is one of the favorite dramas of all time. Beautiful girls and handsome guys. Many people will start to fall in love with Horikita Maki and Ikuta Toma in this show, including myself.

Personally, I like the Taiwan version better than this. But nonetheless, this HanaKimi has booked a top ten spot in my list of jdramas.

A bit different from the Taiwan version, this drama is ultimately hilarious. The fights between dorms are the best. A bit stupid but who cares as long as it's funny. This is one of my drama I waited everyweek to watch it rather than wait it to finish and watch it altogether all night long.

And not to mention, the OST of this drama is great too. Especially the opening song by Orange Range.

Poor Nakatsu. He's the coolest guy in the whole drama, but like always, the nice guy finishes last, huh?
And the Karate guy is hilarious!

Most noticeable person in this drama had to of been Ikuta Toma. I thought he did incredibly well with his monologues as I laughed at pretty much at every monologue. Overall a very enjoyable drama with an incredible cast. Another notable person had to of been the person who played Oscar. He was definitely the funniest character overall by far (at least for me).

I found this drama to be more of a comedy then anything, but there are some elements of romance. Recommended for anyone that enjoys comedy. Though I heard its not as good as the manga, its still worth checking out because of the enjoyable cast ^^

I actually watched this drama as well as First Kiss with my host family as it came out in every week during the summer when I was living Japan. Good stuff. I think my favorite characters were Nakatsu, Oscar, and the aura/ghost guy (I forgot his name XP) This one is still my favorite because its one of the most humorous dramas. I wish there were a lot more drama out there that injected more humor into their episodes...

I am just finishing this one up and it is so kawaii. I really love Maki in it and she and HanaKimi have both entered my top 5 list.

And what is really amazing is that Japan has so many early 20's actresses, and Maki is definitely up there with Gaki, Ueno, Toda and Nagasawa.

I just finished the special and god was it boring. Worst special that I have ever seen! It didn't seem to advance the story, seemed like they were just taking stuff that didn't make it into the series and other than the Julia angle it was just plain bad.

Still love the series and it is in my top 5, but this was definitely a waste of 2 hours.

God, I want my two hours back!

I like that ESP dude and people from the art/drama dorm
they're too funny

but lol. this dorama is not so special though :|
Maybe the manga is better, but I don't really into manga :P

still, I think it's a good drama for 'dorama starters'

Even though Nakatsu stole the show and he really did a great job, let's not forget Oscar and his paranoid things. I mean, who didn't laugh when he *transformed* into a woman, closed the room where all the students were and started to sing a strange song? And not only that, every time he appear you just can't help but laugh!

It was a really funny drama!!
