Oh, and for a starter pack, Ju-On series will be incredible.

horror drama series? u should try chakushin ari (one missed call)

the dorama is far better than any of the movie version. very dark and twisted story. u just have to watch it!!!

if you like thriller suspense try Unfair ^^

One Missed Call is a good suggestion, but not Ichi the Killer. It's too nauseating and abhorrant, at least for me. I'd suggest Ring or Parasite Eve.

Then you have a different taste than me. I disliked Forbidden Siren... And Parasite Eve is better than its novel IMO, but those who don't like gore or such shall not watch it.
