Angry Koizora - ONE OF THE MOST NOT RECOMMENDED DRAMA

Cellphone novel(携帯小説)is perhaps considered as a new form of literature in future generation. Cellphone novel targets youths, especially for highschool students. Despite the fact that it is popular among youths, there are many controversies are indicated by numerous educational reasons.
I am sorry for fans but, Koizora is one of the drama (novel) that disgusted me and not recommended for people.

First of all, what is Koizora about? It is about two students who had a sexual relationship and later a protagonist becomes pragnant. However, Mika, who is a protagonist was pushed by a friend of Mika's boyfriend and a baby insider her stomach unnaturally fell which also means an abortion. Later, Mika realises that his boyfriend is in cancer. Her boyfriend used an anti-vaccine for cancer. He was able to live for another 3 years with some adverse effect losing his hair. After his death, Mika realises he has a child by his boyfriend; she decides to live with his baby forever and ever.

The author said it is non-fiction and it was a real story. Later, she abridged and subscibed a novel as based on a real story.
Sex, abortion, pragnant, uncurable disease, sex in public, underaged drinking, driving without license, and rape..........
That's right. You can see all these features in Drama. (Novel)

I saw some people in Nigihana community saying Koizora was great and beautiful but,
Is this what Japanese Highschool students wish?
Is this what the society wishes?
    Is this what you wish?
    I don't think so.
Unless if you want to get raped and become pragnent, I don't think so.

    Love? Beauty? Passion?
What can you get from sex and abortion?
Since when did sex become equal to love?

    Uncurable cancer?
Please, don't speak about cancer easily out of your mouth. This is just an insult to those people to those who struggle from cancer, yet they try their effort to fight it.

In general, it has numerous grammar errors plus contains icons like this ♪ in the book that is not even allowed.

Koizora reminded me of High School Musical. It is very different from high school in real life like Koizora, yet High School Musical has a dream. Koizora does not.
So if you want to watch a shXt like Koizora, I prefer High School Musical.

Unfortunately, almost every cellphone novels talk about sex and rape.
Akaiito (A Red String) which was also became a live action recently, is similar to Koizora. Please, do not watch any dramas or movies that are based on cellphone novels. They are literally bad and contains sexual scenes that are not appropriate to kids or teenagers. You will only waste time and if you think Koizora is good, you have a mental issue.

These are some of reviews related to Koizora in Amazon.jp. As you can see, you can see many 1 star out of 5 or 2stars which is pretty bad.

Actually, the ratings in Japan TV are bad also. The highest it went was only around 6, which is very bad. I've watched it and I think most of us would prefer the movie version alot better, in comparison of the male and female leads.

When I first heard about the show, I was kind of interested to be honest because of all the hype about it. If I did watch it, I expect to be full of rage haha. Cause it sounds like a sweet love gone wrong. Since sohyx1 mentioned that the ratings in Japan tv are bad, I'm actually surprised they even let it air on tv given what byong0804 said about the show.

Hmm, I'll still give it a shot I think even though I'll probably be disturbed for days xD

i definitely wouldn't say i would want to be raped and experience teenage pregnancy XD

but i thought it was a sweet MOVIE. the drama did suck. well, the story was okay, but i thought 'mika' studied her role straight from aragaki yui! there was no originality. i thought. i also didn't think she was that pretty....

making a drama was kind of like beating a dead horse.

i'm reading the novel, and (based on my limited japanese) mika is really stupid.

I agree with you, in novel 'mika' is really stupid, I can't even finish the 1st book.
But Gakky in movie is really nice. She do her best in the movie.

About the plot of this drama (movie, novel... anythings) I think is too much 'Korean'. Not that a pure & beautiful love, just a simple highschool girl life. But you can't deny that highscool sex and pragnancy is the japanese 'simple' social problem.

Well, I haven't seen the Drama version but I have seen the Movie version. Personally I thought the story was heart touching but it moved on really fast. It could have been better if the story goes slower...However I like the both actor and actress in the movie verion....Haruma and Yui!!!!>///<
In addition I bought the book and I read them all, I like it and I cried because of it. But I can understand that some people may not like the story and to be honest its quite wrong to have these shown. But I think that generally people know what is right and wrong, so it is not really that bad.
No matter how Mika has decorated her "real story" to the version that is published, she may not have had these really tragic things happen to her, but if her boyfriend's story was real then, perhaps it would be nice just to pray for him.
If Mika really has the baby with her, I hope that she would have a good life with the baby.

I like the movie version of Koizora very much although the story did move a bit too fast , but Aragaki Yui did a great job in this movie.

Bout the drama version , i still didn`t have a chance to see it yet

I agree with that fact, maybe because movie version release before drama version, also the both of main story are same , so for some people kinda wasting time to watch that u're already know the whole story

but if drama version release before movie version, maybe the rating will better

For one, I thought the movie was awesome, just very sad. It seemed realistic. As for your description of the dorama, I don't want to watch the dorama anymore, if the guy lives for another three years. =__= To be honest, I think the dorama would be too long compared to the movie. I don't care what you think about the dorama, but I must say the movie was prettty good, but very sad. D=

here i give my honest opinion.
i like, and not like, koizora story.

when i watch the movie version, i was touched by the story, really to the point that i don't mind rewatch it again and recommend it to my friends to watch it.

and when i heard of the news that the drama version was coming out, as the fan of japanese drama in general, i quickly jumped in and watched the first episode curiously.
but i was devastated and so much disappointed of how the drama is.... I LIKE THE STORY and I LIKE WATCHING JAPANESE DRAMA, but I JUST CAN'T LIKE THE DRAMA VERSION OF KOIZORA... i stopped watching half way the first episode b4 having to remember that Koizora was that bad.

i don't know how good the actual text version of Koizora, but i seriously think, how we like Koizora or not, really depend on which version/medium that you first see it. no?

I tried to watch the dorama and I just couldn't get past the first episode. I guess I am just a Yui Aragaki fan because I watched the movie and finished it in one sitting and I really loved it. I guess this is a case where shorter is definitely better, two hours really works, but six episodes may be a little too much.

But again, the movie has Gakki in it, so I just may not be able to watch this dorama.

haha, watched the movie with Aragaki Yui...beginning was pretty good, but then it became too melodramatic for me...I'll pass for the drama (especially since the main actor is the same as KR Kiva's who I kinda hate)

Based on all the replies, I haven't really heard any favorable reviews of keitai shousetsu, but since it's a relatively new medium, I can't help but be interested in it. Is there any drama based on a cell phone novel that's really good, or at least better than some of the others? Also where is everyone watching these dramas and reading the cell phone novels? I wonder if someone could provide me with a link or something.

    Thanks!

I loved the movie and I hated the drama. I liked that they made it a little more extreme compared to the "if-i-almost-touch-your-lips-with-mine-that-would-be-a-kiss-right"-lameness that many japanese dramas have. But in the drama, they messed up the story, they made it seem weird and it lost all emotion.
