    "Zettai Kareshi" returns

Fuji TV's live-action "Zettai Kareshi" series is coming back for a special episode. Based on the manga by Yuu Watase, the series originally aired from April to June 2008.

The special, titled "Zettai Kareshi ~Kanzen Muketsu no Koibito Robot~," is set after the end of the series. Mocomichi Hayami will reprise his role as the robot Night (Naito) Tenjo, along with co-stars Saki Aibu and Hiro Mizushima. The cast will have a couple of additions, with Ryoko Kuninaka playing a brilliant scientist and Asahi Uchida playing her assistant.

Fuji TV will broadcast the episode this spring.

I wonder how this will turn out.

The drama was far better than the manga, but... the element of finality with Night being deactivated seems kinda cheap with this, now.

the drama was so different from the manga and i guess that made it interesting, but jeez don't ruin it even more by adding on un-necessary episodes...

Hopefully it'll be good. I'm curious bout the fact that Night comes back to life. I hope the storyline won't be ridiculous

hmmm, i didnt really like the drama compared to the manga but i'm guess this 'special episode' wont add anything to the plot nor will it ruin it.

Since it's a special episode, and not a complete 2nd season, I don't mind "Zettai Kareshi" being continued. I found the ending of the drama series to be kind of rushed, so I wouldn't mind seeing another episode to see what happens a bit after.

If they added a 2nd season, then I'd say it'd be too much, because the drama series is already better than the manga.

I wonder maybe Night (Naito) Tenjo comes back to life, because there is addition role a brilliant scientist

I have the feeling it will be like the special episodes of most one season popular dramas... long and completely unoriginal nor interesting. Good examples of bad extra drama episodes made just to drive ratings during the slow periods and push more CMs for new dramas I can think of are Densha Otoko's summer special and the special episode of Unfair (which really turned out just to be a bad lead in to an even worse movie... the series is really good without the special and the movie though *sigh*).

I was too much a fan of the manga to really like the drama very much... I think the drama ended pretty cleanly, I have no idea what they're going to do to squeeze out a special episode. I'm not sure I'll watch it.

    I loved this drama.

But maybe only my opinion, I don't want them make the SP or 2nd season.

I think that this drama is so complete.

If Knight returns, the romance of this drama will be lost.

i agree with Roost, the drama is indeed very complete, but maybe they found a way to recover Night's memory? wasn't to eager to see a love triangle in the SP again.

    Nyaa~
I can't wait to see this SP of "Zettai Kareshi", wonder what would it be? Just pray that it won't spoil the ending of the series, but rather improve the ending instead to something unexpected. :\

I can't imagine anything after the drama really. I hope this doesn't turn out bad. At first I was a bit surprised seeing the difference between the drama and manga but it turned out to still be enjoyable. Let's just hope that it continues to be enjoyable even in the special.
