My parents watch lots of Chinese dramas, but I personally like the Japanese ones better.

The reason that chinese drama is fading is because an overabundance of production will cause the quality to decrease.

If chinese drama wants to become competitive again, it needs to do the following:
1)increase funding and financial reward to the producers
2)hire better writers and at least ATTEMPT to create something new.
3)increase production value. I don't wanna see crappy camera angels, shoddy edits, and unconvincing acting.
    4) kill the censors. Seriously. unless the show is about something so incredibly foul such as the advocation in favor of abuse or genocide, I don't see why the censors have to have a say in everything. Barring the cases where the show is about really sick and sociopathic things, I see no need for censors. That's what parents are for.

Japanese dramas are just more creative. I love jdramas. They are short. That is the beauty of it all so they don't drag.
