CD Shop Taishou: discover the Japanese record dealers' favourites

The results for the CD Shop Taishou (a music award ceremony, which was held for the very first time this year) have been revealed !

First of all, let's remember the CD Shop Taishou principle: bored because their discoveries are not in the list of award winners, record dealers from all over Japan decided to get together into an association, and to create their own awards, called CD Shop Taishou. These awards are supposed to highlight (indistinctively indies or major) albums which did not necessarily get media publicity matching their qualities.

Thanks for the list, there's some pretty interesting groups on there that I hadn't heard of before, I like the winner.
I'm slightly confused about the point of the award though. They say it's to give artists plaudits when they haven't recieved so much mainstream success/publicity. So why the heck is Utada Hikaru, Perfume and Mr Children in the top 10??? I'm not debating quality or anything but they are 3 of the best selling, most advertised groups in J-pop...bizarre choice.
