Brilliant Green, Sowelu, Mai Hoshimura leave Ken-on

On Wednesday, rock band the brilliant green and singers Sowelu and Mai Hoshimura all announced their departure from management agency Ken-on. All three have also left their respective record labels.

It appears that all of their contracts with Ken-on and their labels are ending on May 31. the brilliant green, along with Tomoko Kawase's two solo projects (Tommy february6 and Tommy heavenly6), is breaking away from DefSTAR Records. Sowelu is leaving that same label, while Hoshimura is ending her connection to SME Records.

In conjunction with their expiring contracts, the artists are closing their current websites and are preparing new ones.

Woah, are you serious?

Well, they (the record label) didn't really do much to promote their music IMO. Especially Mai Hoshimura. Her voice is FAR too beautiful for her to be so unknown in the J-pop scene. Tomoko & the brilliant green also got a little underpromoted as well. 2007-08 should have been the year of TBG in terms of mass-market promotion, but it wasn't.

As for Sowelu...I was never all that into her until she made SO EXCLUSIVE with m-flo. She just doesn't have that star quality to me.

hmmm, i hope their plan to undertake their next management/however they pulling it off will be good(if not better)!
