Hitomi remarried, pregnant

32-year-old singer hitomi has entered her second marriage, and is already expecting her first child. She announced the news on Thursday night through her official website.

On June 30, hitomi and stage actor Masayoshi Haneda (31) formally registered their marriage. They met last summer when they performed together in the play "Waiting for the Sun," and it led to a serious relationship around January. With hitomi currently four months pregnant, the pair decided to tie the knot.

hitomi previously married a former member of hip-hop group GAS BOYS in November 2002, but they divorced last November after five years of matrimony. The couple never had children. (Tokyograph)

u sure she sang anythng for code geass? as far as i know, she has been in hiatus mode after the release of her best album "peace".

wierd. married for 5 yrs and no baby. now a shotgun marriage. juz plain wierd.

Woah shotgun wedding? Hah. I 've no idea who the stage actor guy is, I wonder if he's taller than hitomi, if I remember, she's pretty tall.

you've probably figured it out by now, but the Hitomi who sings in Code Geass and other anime like Last Exile is Hitomi Kuroishi. This one (whose maiden name is Furuya) has done anime themes like "I am" for InuYasha but she's more of a pop/rock idol. They both record as just Hitomi but this one uses a lowercase h for hitomi. I think (shrug) they can get away with it because in Japan, Hitomi uses the kanji for her name and hitomi uses the English (roman alphabet) spelling. So there'd be no mistake.

Anyway, it's old news but of course I wish the new family the best! I also hope hitomi will still release new music. I'd miss her.
