TVXQ Banned in Japan?

According to S-San's Blog (a Japanese staff member for TVXQ/Tohoshinki/DBSK) the rumor that TVXQ has been blocked from Music Station was confirmed. On his blog he wondered why TVXQ was on Music Station's #1 list this week, yet weren't invited to perform. Music Station is a highly popular music show in Japan, similar to MTV's TRL here in the states.

Rumors and conspiracy theories were created when TVXQ received many #1's on both the Oricon Daily and Weekly charts, yet weren't invited to the Music Station show. Almost every other artist who were in the top 10 let alone the artists who've reached #1 were invited to perform. Many people believe the reason for this is because Johnny's Entertainment has a secret pact with Music Station. Some people think that TVXQ poses a threat to Johnny's therefore the non-invites.

I picked up on this myself like last year...I was wondering, hmmm...How come TVXQ doesn't make appearances on MS? I also noticed how many Johnny's acts appear on MS...and how FREQUENTLY they do it too. This situation is just Johnny's fear that TVXQ will overcome all of their other groups. But that's okay.

In the end, I think JE will feel stupid when TVXQ starts taking over the industry WITHOUT any appearances on MS.

I mean, you PAY the TV show so you can perform. There shouldn't be any invitations, invitations make it look more biased in the first place so they wouldn't do that anyway.... If only the "staff of TVXQ" THINKS that they are banned from Music Station, then there's no proof.
Their company Avex should be the people who will be discussing this matter whether its true or not and should take action if necessary

I totally agree here, esp. with the last quote. (even though I like JE bands, but at least I'm not being biased!) I always kinda wondered if old Johnny had something to do with THSK not appearing on MS. Apparently, there's a rumor that Johnny won't even allow another boyband & a JE boyband to share the same stage together!

But if I was TVXQ, I'd be proud to know that I intimidate someone so much that I'm "banned" from their television program.

you don't see w-inds , flame, lead in MS too. and they're popular boybands.
the last time thsk came on MS was for the collab with kumi koda. they like appeared just for the song and then disappeared

I'm sure he has something to do with this..I think he did the same with Namie when she released 60s70s80s and Kanjani 8 (it was them? O.o anyway someone who released a single titled WAHAHAH) but in the end she got higher sales than them totally =)

well it's not a really odd thing, even W-inds or exile had the almost same thing. It seems that Johhny dosn'e want any other boy band perform at the show!

haha I think that's plain spite. It's a little overly obvious when TVXQ appears in so many other places and all of the sudden MS goes quiet.
Nevertheless, I believe it'd be fair justice that TVXQ become more popular regardless of their presence in MS. They are a great band.

ohmygosh I can so see JE being responsible for this. those conspirators. I mean if you've ever watched the show before you'll know/see how much airtime those guys get.

THSK on the otherhand has appeared on Hey! x3 with substantial airtime on their interviews.

I actually don't find this surprising. It's like Disney channel has their own record company and their own music station, so what's surprising about that? Plus, there's other channels that TVXQ can go on, and they're still getting fan attention, so it's not really that important. I just think it's bad promotion for Johnny's artists cause if other artists go on, they attract other fans, and maybe these fans will like Johnny's artists. So by having a variety of artists they are actually helping each other out!

i agree with URoxMYSox. having more artists there would definately widen the range of audience so there is a possibility that they could attract a whole new fan base.

ol it's not like they really need to go to perform though; theyre performing the same album stuff anyway. lol. not that its a bad thing. ^^
