Kumi Koda has been threatened with death and a man was arrested

Kumi Koda had been threatened at the end of March, but everything was revealed only today not to compromise the inquiry.

On March 25th 2009, someone published death threats against Kumi Koda several times on the avex trax BBS. The singer and avex president Max Matsuura immediately pressed charges, and a few weeks later, the inquiry led to the indentification of the person who wrote the messages.

His name is Yuusuke Nozaki and he is 31. It seems he published these messages from his mobile. Arrested by the police, he admitted everything was true and explained he had planned to commit suicide after killing the singer.

The press releases published tonight do not state why he wanted to kill her.

This isn't that uncommon and happens plenty of times in the US and Europe, not just Japan. Freaks are universal. Not confined to one country or culture.

OMG sooo Scary!!! It's common for famous people to have stalkers but to this extent...it's beyond insanity! Poor Koda, fortunately they were able to take actions or else it would have been a disaster.

This has happened alot in japan lately. Even another singer had the same case, Chihara Minori if I am not mistaken. This people are sicko. Sigh~
