Yesterday, I think, the head police of investigation has publicly announced that they've arrested 5 or 6 people for posting these pictures. One of these people are charged for actually taking the pictures from Edison's computer, and the rest are charged with posting them online and spreading them. The police said that giving it to your friends is NOT illegal, but emailing them or posting them onto a forum (which is what happened) is considered illegal so that's why they've arrested so many people. The police also said that the artists, who are victims of this, will not have to testify in court, since it's not an attack on the artist, but simply stealing private information. Therefore, the police only need the evidence to prove that these "thieves" stole the pictures, which they've found on these people's computers. They are also avoiding the issue of whether the pictures are real or fake, since it doesn't matter in this investigation anyways (or more likely they want to cover it up and not have to expose it any further than need be). here) They've also posted a psychologist's explanation of Edison's behaviour. They say that he has something like an inferiority complex, and that taking pictures is like a collection of his trophies in sexual conquer.
