Wat ur Favorite JPOP singer?? Provide constructive reasons why

My fave female singer would be Ai Otsuka and Mika Nakashima.. Coz..
Aichin have cute and catchy voice and talented with her piano play..
Mika has unique thick melodious voice on her own..

On the boy side, i prefer K'..

Utada Hikaru - great singer, amazing songwriter, arranger and producer. there's not many people like her in Japan.

of course it was ayaka for me, brilliant voice, excellent vocal technique, and have tons of catchy songs.
one of the only few singers, that i would prefer to hear her singing live than hear her recorded song.

I really like Yui, she's a singger and composer, also play her instrument guitar, combining her guitar play with his music and vocal, always make me feel better, and in a good mood. try to hear some of her song like tokyo, skyline or umbrella!!

3) Namie Amuro, sexy damn girl at thirty... (oh crap she was no longer girl but women)

Male:
1) Ken Hirai, want a reason??? He is the best!
2) Fukuyama Masaharu he is forty but still reach 1st position at oricon chart!!

Band (kinda J-pop alternative or poprock Band):
1) Mr.Children, one of the best J-pop band ever!!!!
2) Spitz never bored listening their songs
3) Southern All Stars....... hm dunno just like them so much

She sings beautifully, and her voice has a nice range. Sometimes she sounds almost like a child, and other times she sounds more mature.
And also, I love soft J-pop.

Yuna Ito, Miho Fukuhara and ayaka - currently looking forward for each of their new songs, each with such powerful and unique voice, and they pen some of their songs too, it's a pity that ayaka is taking a break, i'm really going to miss her...

sayuri sugawara seems to have lots of potential too, she got a quite a powerful voice too...definitely a singer worth checking out...
