As for my it was my friend who introduced her to me. Was quite skeptical in the first place but after listening to her song and watching her movie, Taiyou no Uta, I realised that she's a very talented singer. <3 Cute as well ^^

I also like the first 2 albums better than the new ones.
I can just listen to the first 2 albums completely while I take songs like namidairo from the 3rd one and the 4th one is just a collection of B-sides [which I already collected anyway]

It's still worth it buying all her albums and I don't know many western artist that just give a live acoustic concert on the streets.

i like all her albums... but then i dun think she can act...
if u compare taiyou no uta drama n movie, the acting is apparent between the 2 artists... but then again yui still rawks my music world i dun care if she can act or not, as long as she keeps composing great musics... cheers

YUI's music is a rare find for me, as i am used to japanese girl artists trying to be all 'sexy' and all, but she has a different sound to her voice, one that is innocent and not trying to be sum1 else. i liked her acting in the movie actually! thought it was good, and the last part was saaad

does anybody know how long she will be in/on hiatus for?

i hope she comes bak to write more heart wrenching songs!
