    Jrock, underground/indie bands?

Hey, does anyone know of some good Jrock bands or indie bands? So far I like some of the mainstream bands like Ellegarden and Uverworld. But I like some of the indie bands like Swinging Popsicle, Mongol 800, and The Pillows. Anyone else have any suggestions or introduce some bands to me?

oOo...thanks! i'll definitely check them out.

i know jrock is pretty popular but i find that many of the bands are kinda punkish or scremo and i'm not really into that. so it's hard to find jrock bands that don't really scream.

Is the pillows still underground? I say they're in between. They do some mainstream stuff yet they don't appear on primetime TV.

definetly Aikaryu, It was an indie band that played metal/rock. I have uploaded their discography here. They have great guitar riffs, totally recommend them. But they scream so I don't really know if you like it. Another good artist is B'z There are also some albums uploaded from him.

Honestly, Indie or not, a band is just good.

    I'd recommend:
    ORANGE RANGE (Major)
    the pillows(major)
    UVERworld(major)
    Mo'Some Tonebender (major)
    Beat Crusaders (major)
    Nightmare (Major)
    Jinn (Indie)
    L'Arc~en~Ciel (major)
    Acid Black Cherry (Indie)
    Asian Kung-Fu Generation (major)
    Bump of Chicken (major)
    Chou Hikou Shounen (indie)
    FLOW (major)
    Gackt (major)
    HALCALI (Indie)
    Kemuri (Indie)
LAST ALLIANCE (Indie) <-Sound alot like ELLEGARDEN meets Asian Kung-Fu Generation
    Luna Sea (major) [DISBANDED]
Monoral (Indie) [English with slight JP flavored Rock]
    Mr. Children (major)
    Nirgilis (Indie)
    OVERGROUND ASCOUSTIC UNDERGRUOND (Indie)
    Snowkel (Indie)
    Straightener (Indie)
    Tropical Gorilla (Indie)
    Typhoon24 (Indie)
X JAPAN (Major) [DISBANDED] [RE-FORMING 2007(?)] - This is classic metal, but they did a LOT of ballads and great pieces
    ZZ (Indie)

    You should enjoy that list

If you like Uverworld, maybe you'll like Asian Kungfu Generation too. Try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti0WXGqVyzU

Hmm, my favorite jrock band is Kagrra, their songs r great, combined with traditional instruments sometimes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1BZ0Jn8sgM
