    Question Hot-blooded music help

I have no idea where this should go, as I am not requesting anything specific, but it is, however, a request so I will put it here for now. A mod may feel free to move this if so inclined.

After lurking for awhile, I have finally been forced to come out of hiding in seek of immediate aid. While going through my music collection, I noticed a distinct lack of anything particularly "hot-blooded," and so I have come in dire search of it.

I am being somewhat specific with the term, "hot-blooded," I think. I'm looking for something powerful, epic, "manly", and invigorating. This, I deduced, did not seem to come from any generic rock music because it lacked the epicness I am looking for; while it may be powerful and "manly," in most cases, I simply didn't find any hot-blooded, epic, invigorating spirit in it. Enka came closer, but (1) I do not have much enka and (2) I couldn't find anything very invigorating in what I had.

So I ask, can anyone recommend anything that would make the word, "nekketsu," proud? I would prefer something with vocals with a preference toward a male singer, though a female singer would not be turned down.

Though normally I would delete this topic as you do not have the requisite number of posts to request anything; you technically didn't request anything, but asked for a recommendation!

    Thus, help you I shall.

Galneryus fits your objectives pretty well. It has soaring vocals, manly energetic guitar riffs, and I would ******* that ti is nothing short of invigorating. They are a Neo-Classical power metal band.

In that same vein of win are such bands as, ACID, X JAPAN, DELUHI, 9mm Parabellum Bullet.

I've gathered some clips from each of these bands to help you along.

    Galneryus:
    "Alsatia"

    ACID:
    "0:00am"

X JAPAN (Also known as X):
    "I.V."

    DELUHI:
    "HYBRID TRUTH"
    "LIVING DEAD"

    9mm Parabellum Bullet:
    "Living Dying Message"

Hmm. I'm beginning to think I might have too strict an idea of what I'm looking for, and yet having no idea what I'm looking for.

Amusingly enough, since I follow most of your uploads, Wind, I already knew of those bands, but they're not exactly what I have in mind. Surely they are hot-blooded in their own right and genre (especially Galneyrus), but I think I'm looking for something outside of metal/Visual Kei (which makes up most of my music collection), something with a bit more varied instrumentation outside of heavy guitars.

I don't know, maybe I'm being too picky here.

Anything by JAM Project, or more recently, the two cover albums from Masaaki Endoh, Enson, will certainly meet your need for "nekketsu" music.

this link is a nice little preview of such. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXMo5o9v14Y

please PM me if you want anything more in that vein.

JAM Project and its members are practically the the progenitors of this style of music, but I don't really think a cover of an AKINO track written by Yoko Kanno really exemplifies it properly.

    Here's a track of Yoshiki Fukuyama's that I think works a little better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo6GWfIQamA

Pardon the video, it's hard to find the full song that isn't just used for an AMV. If older stuff is your thing, you can't go with any of the Getter Robo or Mazinger anime themes, or practically anything that those men sang.

    h0tlyk3fyr3 & AzraelNewtype:

Thanks, I'll look more into JAM Project and Masaaki Endoh. These seem close to what I'm looking for, actually. The recommendations are appreciated.

As for looking into older stuff, heck, I dug up some Hokuto no Ken soundtracks (Premium Best and Silent Survivor 21st Century Ver.) to fill the void! I guess I could try some other older anime soundtracks to see what I get.

    zerberusShift:

Nooot quite, what I was looking for, although I had never heard of Aural Vampire before. While not exactly what I was looking for, they seem to have an interesting sound so I'll look into them nonetheless. My lack of music discrimination leaves me open to many things.

Again, thanks for the recommendations so far, everyone. The hunt hasn't ended, but this should help for now!

Hot blooded music = definitely JAM Project

Oh forget to mention one thing.
You can check out Animetal, they pretty much remix most of classic/old school anime in metal/heavy metal. The vocalist used to be a member from JAM Project.

Like others have said, JAM Project seems to be the best fit for what you're looking for. Some of their songs I enjoy most are Get Over the Border, Stormbringer and Danger Zone... Masaaki Endoh's solo albums are great too! Check him out! Ai wo Torimodose and Clown are my favorite Endoh songs! I could talk about JAM Project forever, really......
