Best Japanese Singer? [Male]

I was wondering, to you, who's the best Japanese singer?
Explain why is he the best singer to you!

For me, the best japanese singer is Shimizu Takuya from the band UVERworld.

Reasons: He has an awesome voice, he sings well. His beat-boxing skills aren't half bad, pretty fun. And his rap is pretty kool (I usually hate rap)

ＴＡＫＵＹＡ∞ is SUPER awesome. Definitely my favorite Japanese singer for a band. His voice is so distinctive.

Nope, sorry there bud.

Though I'd say Kimi No Suki Na Uta was awesome.
It had that little ballad feeling with a little rap xD

I would love to say Teru from GLAY. He really had this awesome rock vocals.

Maybe Keita of w-inds. is not that bad since his high pitch had no match for any other male singers.

Kazutoshi Sakurai of Mr. Children (so sexy sounding <3)
Hirai Ken (nice falsetto, doesn't have the best voice but I like his sound still)
Hyde (very smooth and versatile)
Hideki of Siam Shade (sexy sounding too )

I'll give props for Keita of w-inds. for that falsetto and Gackt of course, though they're not my favorites. And yes Takuya of UVERworld sounds very nice too.

contreversial but my vote definitely goes to....KYO from Dir En Grey

Scoff all you want but the Range he has with his voice and the raw emotion he puts into every performance is outstanding, you really don't need to understand the lyrics to feel the emotion in the songs.

Not to everyones taste but no one beats him in my opinion

He may not have the best voice, but the guy from Porno Graffitti has the most distinct voice. Its great in small doses. After about 3 songs in a row, it gives me a headache x_x

If you asked me a few years earlier I would have said Gackt, because I loved his voice, but recently it has not has the same sound.
For me, it's Atsushi Sakurai from Buck-Tick. What can I say, I'm a sucker for the deep voices.
Although I have recently become a huge Shimizu Takuya fan.
