Suga Shikao is not jazz. Does anybody know of some japanese trumpet players? I could look some up but I do not know who is worth listening too. and Nakashima Mika is a jazz singer with some pop sound incorporated.

Hmm... Can I suggest too? Try Saori Yano. She's a great saxophonist. Check Crazy Ken Band too. I don't know if they are considered jazz, but they're amazing. Ah! Look at The Seatbelts. They produced the soundtrack for the anime Cowboy Bebop.

Shiina Ringo has some good jazz songs, like

One of her recent albums is all jazz if I remember right.

Akiko is good, but she's very subtle, like lounge music.

Soil & "Pimp" Sessions. Listen to their "PIMPOINT" album and be amazed.

A lot of my friends from Japan call them "the coolest band in the world"!
