I think Mika Nakashima did quite well in NANA and got quite a few great hits as well so I chose her to be the best.

AIKAWA NANASE-SAMA! Most of the songs are nice!

she's definitely one of the best seasoned female j-rock artistes!

and erm dear aka baru, "Kaya" is a male....he just dresses like a female...that's all.

But I think... Zone more like pop band...and Remioromen was male band.

Lufkin Olivia rocks, though she's not a full-time rock star like Shiina Ringo, Okui Masami and Aikawa Nanase.

    I'd vote for Olivia still.

Out of all of those, I love Aikawa Nanase the best.

But another great female Jrocker is Aya Kamiki! Her cover of Smoke On The Water was amazing. <3

I would say Miz before her "Best Friends" single and before she changed her name to Mizrock. I think changing her name to the name of her second album was kinda tacky.

I think you're forgetting a few people (Maaki from High and Mighty Color and Yousei Teikoku are the only ones I can think of right now though =\)

Anyway, out of that list, I think Tomoka Kawase/Tommy february6/Tommy heavenly6 is the best =) (they're all the same person, lol) Although I like YUI as well =P

I dont really think some of the artists in that list are suited as "J-Rockers". @_@
They fit more into J-Pop for me since a lot of these do like soft rock/jpop. P:

Well, there are very few female J-Rock singers/vocalists, so I think it's alright to be a bit looser on the definition =P

YUI, then Tommy (with the Brilliant Green) then Kaela Kimura.

all of YUI's songs have been really enjoyable...i'm addicted to TBG songs, and Kaela's songs tho sometimes not v.rock at all, are v.cool in style.

Would you like to be able to increase that list of yours? Well you should add Kumi Sato from LOVE PSYCHEDELICO, and AYA.
