I'm going to agree in the sense that you're first impressions of them listening to their MV's are a little iffy. Even I wasn't impressed first hand, nevertheless, it's my go to for more soul music after Rain/Epik High.
PS Mirotic was fairly good. The album I mean. The song and Wrong number were awful. That's my 2 cents

I too second this.
They are average looking, maybe okish looking bunch of Korean guys, with all their makeup and hair and eyebrows etc etc done they are goodlooking..ish
and they are ok singers.. ive heard many better singers just going KTV with friends of mine...

I think all their fans are girls who drool over 5 goodlooking [debatable] guys singing...

their music is very.. typically pop music, and nothing outstanding about them hits me.

The only one song i like is doushite kimi wo suki ni natte shimmatan darou because of the MV and the song lyrics..

I love them, but sometimes the rapping is off. Really, REALLY off. I always skip through the rap part on Purple Line because it's just too painful to stomach. Otherwise, i love almost all their songs.

I like them! I think that they can sing, as evidenced by songs like Love in the ice and Bolero. I do agree that they don't really do upbeat songs though.

I like them. I know how people like to say girls only like them for their looks. People might be attracted to them from their looks first, but eventually other qualities are what make a fan stick.

First & foremost let me say that i'm way older than the boys. Secondly, i'm never been ga ga over any boy bands or actors or whatever. I only stared liking them after watching X-man & some of their Korean interviews. What made me a fan is their voices & their attitude.

Normally i only like slow songs or ballards, started off iwth DBSK ballards (Tonight, One, Fox Rain, Proud, Begin & etc...) Then i started to like their dance numbers as well. Believe it or not i only started liking them in 2007 with O-Jun Ban Hup. Plus i was not familiar with Korean & found it hard to like the language as i can't understand anything. I was more interested in their Japanese songs since i'm more familiar with Japanese.

Attitude wise - i feel (purely my own assumption here) that they are quite sincere in front of cameras. E.g. X-man DBSK Special - they really give it their all in the games. Don't feel like they were purely following the script, especially with the 'Of Course' Game & the Monkey Bar Game.
