    Tommy february6 new albums

What's with Tommy february6's new albums, Gothic Melting Ice cream's Darkness Nightmare and Strawberry Cream Soda Pop Daydream? They seem to be nothing but greatest hits albums, with only one new song on each.

Can't she think of something new? Has her creativity disappeared?

She's probably making music while putting out these albums O.o, so I think you should expect non-Greatest Hits albums soon too.

I think it still great to listen to a best of. The extra songs are the extra greatness that come with it. I especially enjoy the new Tom Feb. track. Another tip of the hat to 80's synth.

Furthermore, I heard rumors of a possible new persona to arise from what Tommy has started. We will see.

The Brilliant Green is suppose to be working on a new album as well, which I'm looking forward to.

But yea, it's crazy that all of Kawase's projects have come out with greatest hits albums so close together recently.

Is Japan experiencing an 80's synth wave? Does this explain the 80's part of Namie Amuro's 60's 70's 80's CD release?

Well, nothing wrong with best of albums. All her old songs are still catchy as heck. And if the Brilliant Green is really going to be releasing something soon, that'd be awesome!! I haven't heard anything from them for a long time.

Japan is having a rebirth of techno pop and 80's new wave that all started with Perfume and Capsule's producer Yasutaka Nakata. Not since the Early 80's when YMO was producing everything from Jpop to video game commercials has Japan delving back into Korgs and Vocorders again. Actually when I was there last year, Tower Records in Shibuya had a huge display of the history of digital music. There was something in the air.

For more Contemporary Techno pop, check Aira Mitsuki, MEG, SBK, Samos, YMCK, Cube Juice, Immi, and Goatbed.

Sony Suits Mining the Music Catalogs?

I see Mika Nakashima is about to release another album, No More Rules. But it's mostly a greatest hits album, with one new song. What's with the Sony Music suits - first it was Tommy, now Mika - all they do is mine their old music catalogs for music. Can't they invest in some new works?

And on that topic, is there any chance the new songs will be released as singles? I note that Namie Amuro tried a similar trick with Best Fiction - only 2 new songs on a greatest hits album - and Avex didn't release the new songs as singles.

Not to fear, Tommy Heavenly6 is coming out with a new album at the end of April, "I Kill My Heart." ^__^

Most likely.. while she may be having blocks or stuff who knows.
So in the meantime everytime she writes and records one or two new songs, out goes an album with previous hits as some tracks .. just for the meantime i suppose, so her fans don't wait so long..
But i do agree, many of her recent releases have been released before..
