ACID changes name to Needles Lyrics

Rock band ACID, who had been on a break since their vocalist and one of their guitarists left in September 2008, already announced to be changing their name to Needless Lyrics a few months ago. Now, they have officially changed to Needles Lyrics.

Their official homepage informs us that the line-up consists of four people now: guitarist Daisuke, bassist Yuta and drummer Sei-ichiro. A fourth member is also portrayed on their homepage, but his name is currently unknown.

The brand-new band has already announced a release, namely a self-titled album of eleven tracks, which will come out on May 13.

I was wondering what happened to ACID, after they stopped releasing singles! Their most recent single, Sekai ga Owaru Made wa, was completely different than their previous releases, being much more pop as opposed to their initial rock/punk sound! I wonder which genre Needles Lyrics will follow?
