40 banquet tables costing around 5,000 yuan each

Eversince Ada Choi announced her plans to marry her sweetheart, mainland star Zhang Jin, the mystery surrounds the location for the wedding banquet. Whether it is to be held in Hong Kong or in China, even bridesmaid Monica has maintained tight-lipped.

Yesterday, the reporter received news that Ada Choi had booked 40 banquet tables costing 5,000 yuan each at the newly built 5-star hotel in Chongqing North Valley, China. The date for the banquet is for January 12th, 2008. Looks like in order to avoid the Hong Kong's paparazzi, Ada Choi had decided to move the dinner to China.

Local reporters then posed as forthcoming wedding guests to get more details and inside for the banquet. What shocked them was the timing for the wedding banquet.

The custom of the people of Chongqing is to hold wedding at noon but in the case of Ada and Zhang Jin, they had planned for the banquet to be held at night which is considered '2nd marriage'.
It seems that Ada Choi did not mind this.

The banquet will be held in the grand ballroom on the 4th floor of the 5-star luxury hotel which opened less than a year ago. It's a rectangular ballroom with the theme for the decor mainly gold, accompanied by crystal chandeliers show-casing luxury and style with the stage is in the middle.

The whole of the 4th floor will be closed off on that day, the reporter found out from the Banquet Sales Manager after pretending he wanted to book another room for the same date. The reporter tried to prop furhter by asking the hotel staff if it was Ada who booked the whole place, the hotel staff hesitated.

The persistant of the reporter paid off when an employee at the hotel disclosed that it is indeed Ada Choi and that her condition for holding the banquet there is to keep it a secret.

If the news is leaked out, she may decide to change location.
