Hacken Lee (李克勤) announced the extension of his 2008 concert run in a press conference today, revealing that his original run of seven shows will be increased to ten, running from 08 February to 17 February 2008.

An excited Hacken noted that aside from his joint concert with Alan Tam, this will be his longest concert run in Hong Kong. He also told of how he had not managed to get tickets for all his friends in the first seven shows because they had sold out so quickly, so this time, he will make sure he has enough tickets for the additional shows.

With the rise in online touting of his concert tickets, Hacken said that he had asked for the additional shows to be released earlier to avoid this problem, but it was delayed because of printing problems at the Coliseum. He added that he was very pleased to take it to ten shows because this is a perfect number and also he felt it is quite an achievement to fill the venue with 12,000 people every night.

Asked if he will be able to handle performing for ten nights on the run, Hacken said confidently that he has always been quite fit. When reporters asked which part of his body was the fittest, he smiled that every part of his body was fit.

When asked if he felt that his son Ryan has been a good omen for him to break his concert record, Hacken smiled that he did not know if it was related, but maybe his son had brought him good luck. However, he will not be bringing Ryan to the show because he is still too young.

Hacken revealed that not every show will have guest performers, but those who have confirmed so far include Alan Tam (譚詠麟), Priscilla Chan (陳慧嫻) and Shirley Kwan (關淑怡). Asked if he will be inviting Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文), he said that he has already invited her to appear on his TV music special, so he does not want to trouble her again. He said that he felt that Sammi is a lot happier now and she drew a sketch of Ryan that emphasised his features, so he will save this for him when he is older. Asked how he will repay her favour, Hacken smiled that friends should not count these things, but she is welcome to come and watch his show.
