IMO it's obviously gonna be crap... If not, how much would it be needed to make such effects anyway?
Such as when the villains bombard the earth without thinking twice. I don't think it would be good if relying solely on computer animations...

all I can hope is we have another Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat on our hands. Granted they were terrible. terrible and did nothing for their franchises; but they gave us all a laugh in our later years and familiar terrible movie memories!

I say bring on the bad. It's time for our next horrible adaptation movie.

plus i heard there's gonna be a release of dragonball z movie THE GAME. it's so retarded because there's so many games out there based on dragonball and they're gonna make a game out of the movie?! gawd!!!

I don't think that DB Live Action can be like Transformers was in movies.
Dragon Ball became famous because of your story and that movie does not show anything about the seven dragon balls...they just put humans!!! WTF!

LOL, amusing how everywhere I look, the majority of people think this movie will bomb. I'm curious as to how it will turn out but still believe it will suck and the story ripped to shreds.

This movie really will be worth a few laughs. Animating the fighting scenes and actually trying to film it in real life are completely different. It won't feel the same as the anime. I bet I'd be laughing when it's supposed to be a rather sad scene.. Yay me.

This movie is going to be absolutely terrible. They completely changed the character meaning behind goku. Goku is supposed to be this the ultimate do-gooder that will try to save the world no matter what. Comparatively, the movie goku is some pubescent white guy thats all emo. They're making dragonball a coming of age movie, and thats just wrong on so many levels. The trailer has master roshi trying to convince goku that he has to save the world. That wouldve NEVER happened in the manga.
