wat is it with choosing Keanu Reeves for japanese related movies. He's also gonna do the 47 ronin/samurai movie, a big big mistake.

and yes we have DBZ.. I personally think that if there's gonna be a live action for an anime/manga, JAPAn should make it. before hollywood does. I mean, at least they would know wat theyre doing. not a kung-fu-with-lots-of-cg movie

Seriously there are some things that just shouldn't make the jump from animation to live-action, and this is one of them. Pretty much anything with a fantasy/futuristic/mystical/etc. base to it. Those slice-of-life anime I can understand, but not this. You will always compare it to the original, and it just won't feel right.

I agree, Keanu Reeves seems like a trainwreck waiting to happen. I did really him in the Matrix, but that's cause his unability to show any emotion and keep a constant blank face was asset. Somehow, I don't quite think that's going to pan out so well as Spike... Ah well, Cowboy Bebop has such potential as a live action movie. And it should be interesting to see how they go about doing it.

I'm just glad that they are bringing back the anime director and the scriptwriter as associate producers. Hopefully the story wouldn't be too bad, and hopefully it will be spared of the usual Hollywood extravagance.

i kinda think keanu looks alittle like spike, with the hair he could kinda pull off the look. but yes, he's monotone, robot acting is pretty opposite from Spike. I hope the can pull of the acting, and i hope they keep with the theme and setting, and dont go too hollywood.

Are you serious? I wonder how this one is going to turn out. If Sunrise is involved then I guess it's something to watch out for in the future. I'm assuming it's going to be a Hollywood film? OH... and about the casting choice... uhhh....

Keanu Reeves is not the best actor for the protagonist in Cowboy, but, he have talent and experience.
So.. let's wait for see that movie and Keanu performance ^^
