I'm surprised only one person brought up the concern about Faye! Forget Spike! Keanu might ruin the movie but he may not... but we have to worry about the supporting members of the team! I really hope they don't epic fail on Faye's casting, or any other character for the matter!

Vincent Gallo as Spike! Skinny, Hair, and Cooler! Come on! they could have made this film dark and humorous at the same time with Vincent. Keanu will not have the hair! I if he does do the hair it will just not look right. I wonder if they will make him die at the end of the film?

Well there are these things called "wigs" to give the proper haircut to a character I'm just teasing.
Anyway, I think Reeves is a good actor. Sorry but I don't know Vinvent Gallo :x Why don't we wait and see? Live-action movies cannot be like the animes, by definition. The interesting thing aboutanime is that you can stuff happen that are impossible in reality, and the recirpocity is true. Sorry for the bad mathematical English but I've always sucked at maths, and all the more in English The thing in itself might great, if you forget about comparing in the first place.

I wouldnt go with Keanu either... he has been in many movies where the main character is "godly"... kinda wish they could put him in better roles.... but maybe he cant act in any other way...

anyway...

I hope they do not ruin the original...it is so good as it is... and to make it in a different country (from origins) and put in well known actors in because of their status and not because they can act or resemble how the original is in the anime can really screw up CB 's reputation....

i really don't see them making it into a good film even if the creator and Sunrise studios are working together with it. It might turn into a Dragonball Evolution >.< well probably not as bad. But, it'll probably turn into some alternate universe or alternate retelling of the story. I just can't see Keanu Reeves pulling it off as Spike.

Agree w/ most everyone on here, the live movie is destined to fail. Reeves was good in his earlier movies like Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, but I think he's slowly lost his skills to portray emotion well. The Ed and Ein combo were by far my favorite characters, but I have yet to hear who's cast as them. Oh well, here's to hoping they won't ruin any of the live Akira or Neon Genesis Evangelion live movies that are supposedly coming out as well, but I doubt it after having witnessed the horror that was DBZ:E

i dont understand why most of you dont like reeves. hes not a bad actor. personally i like his acting (and im not counting the matrix trilogy).

i am still interested in the movie and also think its hard to summaries a whole series in one movie but nevertheless i hope its not complete piece of shit like that dbz movie.

I was excited until I saw who was playing Spike. I'm not saying Keanu Reeves is a bad actor (I've never seen him act :s ), but he just doesn't look like Spike. :< What'll the others look like???

This sounds awesome, as long as they do it right.. Hopefully they won't mess this live action up. Keanu does look a little bit like Spike.. the only thing is can i play a good spike.. Hopefully he can, he has made some great movies. Though he acting is a bit the same in every movie. As long as he puts himself into the character it'll hopefully be a success. I'm Looking forward to it!

Not really looking forward to this rape, Keanu Reeves as Spike sounds like a fail already too. Oh well, if I'm ever going to watch it, I'll just download a copy instead of seeing it in a movie theater and wasting money.
