Having missed the trains for the Cannes and Venice film festivals, director Peter Ho-Sun Chan simply couldn't stand his latest opus - "The Warlords" missing next year's Academy Awards.
The director announced Tuesday in Beijing that his film would apply for next year's best foreign film Oscar nomination. And, to reach the requirement of Oscars, he has to finish the post-editing work in a mere one month, so that it can be screened in some theaters for seven consecutive days.
