Edison Chen Joins Morgan Freeman On Batman Set

Hollywood stars Christian Bale and Morgan Freeman are in Hong Kong at the moment, filming on location for the highly anticipated film The Dark Knight, which is due to be released in July 2008.



A press conference was held on Friday, where the stars joined director Christopher Nolan to introduce their plans before commencing the shoot in Central. The director also asked the press to give them some space during filming and to refrain from seeking interviews during the shoot.

A familiar face was spotted as the cast and crew filmed at The Center on Queen's Road Central yesterday, when Infernal Affairs 2 <無間道2> star Edison Chen (陳冠希) made an appearance in a scene with Morgan. It would appear that Edison is making quite a name for himself in Hollywood circles after performances in The Grudge 2 and Shrek the Third and so has also landed a role in this instalment of the Batman series.

He's still in it, but only a very brief cameo. You see his face like blurry when morgan freeman hands his phone over.

It was the first time I saw a face specifically blurred out of a movie, Edison was totally blurry while everything else in that seen was crisp clear. And I thought I was being paranoid about it, guess everyone else noticed too. ^^;

Oh, I totally missed that blurry part. I thought that he was completely dropped from the set but what I didn't know was the he's still in the movie, although, a blurry vision of him.

Great, now I'll have to watch the whole movie again to spot him.

haha, i can't believe how much they hyped up his "role" in the movie. my local chinese radio station was saying how he was gonna play one of the villains
he had 2 VERY short lines in the movie, and his face was never clearly shown. that totally wasn't a "role". i wouldn't even call that a cameo, 'cause the actor's FACE has to be seen for a cameo.
