"Dragonball" to open in Japan next March

this is going to be so whack :| i dont know any of the actors cept for Chow Yun Fat. im sort of looking foward to this, although i never really watched DB as a kid.

Ugh. With Stephen Chow producing this movie, I had this hope that it would be an action-comedy, similar in tone with his movies. based on the released pictures though, it seems they're going the serious route.

Justin Chatwin as Goku = fail. Of course, I'm not judging his acting skills, but his look as Goku. It just looks ridiculous.



Makes me cringe everytime i see him with that look.

i am not a against a good movie (plot,special effects...),but the chances that they screw it are high

Yeah. I have a bad feeling this won't go well. I mean, I just can't imagine a live-action Dragonball movie. It just seems impossible for me.

Arggh.....by judging at the poster I'm sure there will be a lot of criticism coming in for this movie. Look at that hair of that Goku......it's not even 0.01 percent close to the anime ver.! Instead of using real human, they should use CG, like advert children, the receive will be better I think.

I like that Chow Yun Fat is in the movie, but his look as Master Roshi is just so different from the anime/manga. I wonder if he'll also be perverted in the movie...

The main actor looks nothing like goku and the cast seems abit off WAY off actually........

A live action of Dragon Ball it's not a good idea(my opinion),the movie will need a lot of special effects for the powers of the characters, maybe it isn't good.

Haha, who knows, maybe it will turn out really good! But I gotta agree my expectations for this movie is totally crap.
But I'm still gonna see it when it comes out, cause you can't judge a movie if you haven't seen it!
And i'm reeeeeheeeeally curious how the special effects are going to be! =D

Oh dear, I see this as being a box office bomb-in-the-making. Everything seemed so wrong here.
Unless Stephen Chow is able to work out some magic here, I see this as going down the drain.

Yeah, what's the update on this live action?
If it turns out bad or not won't really matter since I will go see it, this was one of the first Japanese series I've ever seen so yeah.. must... go... see!
