Storm Riders 2 to be unleashed in 2009

The press conference for action movie, “Storm Riders 2″ was held yesterday afternoon in Hong Kong where film directors, Pang Brothers together with its main actors/actresses like Ekin Cheng, Aaron Kwok, Nicholas Tse, Charlene Choi, etc appeared in a starry starry enviroment

They also revealed for the first time, Tiffany (唐嫣) a newbie China actress who will be taking on Shu Qi’s role of Chu Chu in the movie sequel. She appears to be a wise choice as she was the focus of attention among the media with her sweet smile and oustanding appearance and looks a great fit for the character.

Storm Riders first appeared on our movie screens in 1998 with Ekin Cheng playing as Wind and Aaron Kwok as Sky. It got extremely got reviews and was king at the box office. 10 years later, we have Ekin and Aaron back reprising their roles with a brand new story for their reunion.

The Pang Brothers stressed that “Storm Riders 2″ is not a remake nor a sequel to the former and will instead sport a brand new story of its own. Aaron said that acting as Cloud now and 10 years ago will be totally different and hopes that it’s even better this time. He believes viewers are in for a wonderful treat.

Besides the two main leads, other main characters in the movie have also been decided already. Charlene Choi will be casted as Second Dream, Nicholas Tse plays the villian Jue Xin while Simon Yam plays his father, Jue Wu Shen.

This movie will be heavily budgeted and aims to be the most perfect CGI movie in history. The production team are the ones who produced “Re-cycle” and “The Warlords” and they will stop at no cost to make sure everything turns out right.

Filming begins at the end of March and in cinemas by the end of 2009.

Yeah I heard of this news last year...at first a I thought it was only a rumor. Hopefully this movie will turn out as good as the first one. As the actors Ekin and Aaron become older I really wonder how the old cloud and old wind look like...LOL~~

Actually, I think Aaron Kwok characters was Cloud, not Sky. He's my favorite characters in this story.

I've been following the manhwa for so long, watched the movie, and the two seasons drama series, and now come the second movie, this is really exciting.

I hope the second movie will be far more greater than the first one.

I saw two trailers and concept art looks so far so good... and by the way Ekin Cheng and Aaron Kwok still looks very cool and good, I've never seen original movie Storm Rider, I'm looking forward to it....
