Reporter Faked Pork Flavored Cardboard Story

On July 13 we reported on a story that a Dim-Sum restaurant had been caught serving pork flavored cardboard in their buns.

Today is was reported further that the reporter made the entire story up.

Xinhua News Agency reported that Zi Beijia made the story up to get media airtime.

?The Beijing Public Security Bureau has taken the criminal suspect, Zi, into custody and he will be severely dealt with according to law.?

Zi apparently purchased the materials and hired a few migrant workers to make the buns as he recorded them.

Beijing Municipal Food Safety Office spokesman stated further that even a small part of the product being cardboard would be easily noticeable and hard to chew to anyone who ate them.

Maybe this is some kind of cover up by Beijing for upcoming Olympic Game 2008. We know that Beijing need to clean his image during this time.

Yeah that's what i think also. Maybe that reporter is just a scapegoat.
