Japanese Biker Loses Leg? and Doesn?t Notice

A Japanese biker was riding his motorcycle through a curve in the road and was unable to maintain control hitting a safety barrier.
The pain was excruciating for the 54 year-old office worker but not enough to halt his scenic ride just west of Hamamatsu, Japan.

It wasn?t until over a mile later, when he stopped, that he realized his leg was missing below the knee.
Luckily the guys friend had witnessed the accident and was able to recover the severed leg.

The injured man and his leg were taken to the hospital but the leg was badly crushed.

mm doesn't look like a real leg. Or is that pic just a representation? U'd think after something like that, he'd pass out from the blood loss. Weird how he kept riding for a mile.

I believe when your body is in shock it will block your sense nerve and you wont feel any pain until later. My roommate dislocate his shoulder in a bad angle and he cracked his shoulder bone and tore the ligament in his shoulder. he said he didnt feel anything for an hour ish when it happened. he felt pain only when he arrived to the hospital. he didnt feel pain for an hour and the doctor said his pain that he will be experiencing is 4 out 5. which is rlly bad appearantly (its 2nd most painful).

so i guess it is possible to not notice that u lost ur leg lol

It's just miraculous that he DIDN'T die from blood loss.

It's quite interesting however, to not notice that a huge portion of his leg was missing.

Does he not use that portion while riding..?

THATS WHY you should ride a Bicycle.

then you'd know when you lose your leg(s).
