    Unique Pepsi Flavors in Japan...

Came across this today on JapanProbe and it was the first i've heard of it...

Uniquely flavored and limited availability Pepsi drinks in Japan. This year is the Shiho Pepsi

Shiso-flavored Pepsi! It will hit convenience stores across Japan on June 23rd and be available for a limited time only.

Last Summer Blue Hawaii, a pineapple/lemon mix

Two summers ago Pepsi Ice Cucumber. While the bottle clearly describes it as “combination” of cucumber and cola, there just isn’t much cola flavor to it. The drink takes on a somewhat sweet and fruity flavor, but the artificial cucumber flavor is noticeable, in my opinion. It’s interesting for a few sips, but then the artificial cucumber aftertaste kicks in, making it pretty nasty. At the supermarket I went to, there was a huge dent in the Ice Cucumber display, which probably meant a lot of people bought a few bottles because of the novelty/hype.

My question to you is would you try it? And, why is it only Pepsi Japan seems to be willing to try out these funky flavors?

I'd probably try it, and do like I did with cherry flavoured Coke and end up getting real tired of it after just a few sips... although, I get tired real quick of regular Coke anyways (yuck!)... I'm one of those who prefer Pepsi.

As for why it is only in Japan, I'm guessing because Japan has funky flavors for everything, like chips for example... I don't know, probably because they don't think it'll work really well in Europe and America for example...

I would definitely try it, also being a fan of Pepsi over Coke! I liked the Cherry flavoured Coke, as well as the Lime twist Coke. I think that the artificial colouring is very attractive, too, and it probably is a big selling point in Japan, where trendy colours and flavours are constantly popping up!

I'll definitely try it. I'm not really sure about the Shiso one. But I think I'll try anyway.

I've tried Pepsi Green but didn't like it. It wasn't that bad but I dunno, I just did't like it.

Pepsi Blue was okay though. ^^
